Bedford County will begin its annual Coyote Lottery on November 1, 2014, for the third year in a row. The program, sponsored by several local businesses and the Agricultural Economic Development Advisory Board, incentivizes hunters to help manage the over-population of coyotes, which are a growing threat to livestock in the county. Participants receive one entry in several cash prize drawings for each dead animal they bring in to be counted by Southern States. Entries will be valid through March 13, 2015, and winners will be selected the following Saturday at the Bedford Ag Expo.
