Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Monday, February 29, that two Lynchburg-area projects will receive $786,000 from the state Industrial Revitalization Fund (IRF). Bedford County will receive $600,000 of the $786,000.
In September, the Bedford County Economic Development Authority voted to establish an agreement with developer John McCormack of Waukeshaw Development to open a restaurant/brewery at 510 Grove Street in Bedford, and to seek the IRF grant to support the project. The IRF grant provides financial support for redevelopment projects promoting economic development.
