The Region 2000 Workforce Development Board, Bedford County Public Schools, Adult Education of Central Virginia, and Bedford County Department of Social Services signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Dec. 18, 2017 to approve a paid position for a Youth Career Navigator who will focus on job placement and skills development for 14-24 year olds. This historic agreement is part of an on ongoing effort to expand youth career services across the county.

“Building a strong pipeline of workers for our county businesses is a priority and this position will fill a need to better communicate and engage young people for many of those high demand jobs,” said Traci Blido, Bedford County Economic Development Director.
