The 2023/24 Coyote Lottery came to a close on February 29, 2024 with 143 coyotes killed in an effort to manage the population. Each coyote killed counted as an entry to win a grand prize of $1,000.

This year, Mr. Josh Roop was the first and second drawn name and took home a grand total of $1,500.

Mr. Jeff Williams was awarded $1,000 after his name was also drawn twice (fifth and seventh respectively)

Four additional $500 prize winners included Junior Harris (3), Dwain Bever (4), and Hunter Huff (6).

The funds awarded are raised through individuals and local businesses. No County funds are expended in this effort.
